A show full of new experiences
The Tourism Show featured new short breaks, journeys on all five continents and unique experiences for enjoying an unforgettable vacation. It will be back again in April 2013 with many more ideas that will take you around the world without even leaving Barcelona.
A journey through international cuisines
As part of the new campaign “Menja’t el món” (Eat Your Way around the World), visitors were able to sample themed menus in the restaurants of luxury hotels in Barcelona with a 25% discount.
Tailor-made holidays
Highlights of this year’s edition were Mediterranean destinations, offers from travel agencies and specialized formats for trying out new experiences such as wine-related tourism, sports tourism, sustainable tourism, camping, desert treks, cruises, singles holidays and gay-friendly holidays.
Smart Destinations Forum
More than 150 travel professionals and international tourism experts from cities, hotels and energy, mobility and engineering companies took part in the first seminar on Sustainable Tourism, a trend that promotes the most innovative and environmentally-friendly destinations.
A festival of tourism
Visitors could choose their next vacation in the most entertaining way while enjoying a whole range of shows, gastronomic tasting sessions, wine tasting, folklore performances, draws for trips and much more.
