The Tourism Show closed its 2014 edition having established itself as the best platform for sourcing exclusive travel offers and booking trips.
Featuring the offerings of 200 exhibitors, this year some 27,000 buyers selected and booked their holidays at the show, which attracts the most well-travelled market in Spain. + info
Irresistible offers and prize draws
Visitors could take advantage of some special offers and major discounts to book their trips at the best possible price: destinations close to home (both local and other Autonomous Communities), international trips, cruises, travel agency packages, food and wine tourism, camping, etc. A prize draw was also held (for travel and hotel stays) which proved extremely popular with the general public and exhibitors alike.
The food and wine tourism space a great success
In the "Eat the World!" space, more than 34,000 tasting samples were sold at just 1 euro each during the three days of the event. This genuine delicatessen highlighted the culinary attractions of Catalonia.
For travel professionals
The conferences and seminars organized to discuss the latest trends in the sector proved extremely popular, involving several large tourism companies, public bodies and sector associations. The SITC conference also hosted the Alimara awards given by the CETT.
